Coming out as LGBT is still difficult and traumatic for many people. This research magazine is based on the contextual research 6 UX specialists conducted on the ideal experience of coming out to parents. We used various methods, including observations, interviews with 26 participants globally, and cultural probes. We have affinitized and analyzed over 800 data points and compiled them into a framework to explain our findings. This magazine aims to provide further insights to designers and enlighten the LGBT community. We hope this magazine is a gift worth keeping and helps audiences see the coming out process from different perspectives and develop their personal understanding of the ideal coming out experience.
