Rocas Coffe Table

The Rocas Coffee Table is inspired by the small oceanic islands and rock formations in shallow waters, among which we can mention the Atol das Rocas, a Brazilian territory (Natal - RN), hence the name "Rocas", a Spanish term for rocks. Its shape is obtained through parametric study, and is a formal translation of the layers of rocks. The glass top represents the surface of the water. The product has functional aspects as well as aesthetic ones, since it has a pet-friendly seat, ideal for small pets, located at the bottom of the top. Its manufacturing process includes CNC cutting (wood and glass), making it possible to change the base material to various types of wood, from reused slabs to heavier materials such as marble and granite.
