APERA MODULAR SOFA

APERA MODULAR SOFA SYSTEM: Sharing and togetherness are deeply rooted in Anatolian culture. Family tables filled with people, evenings that linger with laughter, and making room for someone new are part of everyday life. In Anatolian homes, the sedir, a traditional built-in seating bench, creates a place for this connection. People sit side by side, settle in as the conversation unfolds, and share the stories of their day. Apera brings that familiar sense of closeness into today’s urban homes.
Within the city’s fast-paced rhythm, home becomes a place to meet friends, watch something together, and let an unplanned evening linger. A day that begins outside finds a more personal rhythm at home: music plays, coffee is made, and conversations deepen.
Apera’s soft, layered backrests and the flowing lines that wrap around its corners take inspiration from the natural terraces of Hierapolis-Pamukkale, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Formed over time by mineral-rich waters, the layered travertine landscape is reflected in the design’s horizontal lines and gentle transitions. This water-shaped Anatolian landscape becomes everyday comfort through generous seats and rounded arms.
The generous seating that flows around the corner creates a comfortable setting for gathering at home. One person stretches out while another settles into the corner for a conversation. The table beside the arm offers a place for coffee, a favourite book, or snacks to share. The welcoming warmth of the sedir tradition meets the flowing contours of the Anatolian landscape.
Combinations built from 10 different module options allow each person to create a seating arrangement that meets their individual needs, just as they imagine it. The dimensions of the home, ways of relaxing, and habits of socialising shape how the design comes together. For some, it is a quiet corner to stretch out and unwind; for others, a generous setting that brings friends together. Apera gives every individual’s unique needs a place of their own.
