Roadrunner Comfort

Roadrunner Comfort is an evaporative cooler controller that actively monitors and controls the temperature of the air flowing into the home, something no ordinary swamp cooler control can do.
Most controls simply blast cold air at full intensity whenever they run. Roadrunner Comfort's Continuous Comfort™ technology is different: it delivers air at precisely the set temperature by continuously adjusting how much cooling the wetted pads apply. It works with most existing coolers. No special hardware or new wiring is required. Only a handful of expensive new units offer comparable performance. Roadrunner Comfort brings that same capability to most coolers already in place, at a fraction of the cost.
The controller's slim, attractive enclosure blends unobtrusively into any décor. Color-coded buttons communicate their function instantly — no labels to squint at, no manual needed. The sensor clips cleanly to the vent, and its battery typically lasts five years.
Roadrunner Comfort samples the incoming air temperature at the indoor vent once per minute, then fine-tunes pad moisture to keep that temperature right where the homeowner wants it. It does this by varying how long the water pump runs. Longer run times mean wetter pads and more cooling; shorter times mean less. A sophisticated algorithm developed by Nangeroni Design LLC over five years and informed by more than 20 years of electronics design experience determines the exact pump duration needed. When the set temperature is 70°F, the incoming air stays between 69°F and 71°F more than 95% of the time. The remaining 5% reflects rapid outdoor weather shifts; the system typically recovers within minutes.
Roadrunner Comfort works with virtually any existing cooler and most new units that use a water pump and fan. The algorithm automatically adapts to the cooler's characteristics, no manual calibration needed. It is not yet intended for more expensive coolers with purge pumps or other advanced built-in functions.
Built-in Wi-Fi enables automatic firmware updates and time-of-day synchronization. A free update planned for 2027 will add remote control and smart home integration, with the same commitment to security and privacy that defines the product today.
