Most conventional portable music controllers depend on a desk or at least a flat surface. MIDIGo introduces musical mobility in an entirely new way: rather than reducing the size of a standard controller, it reconfigures the interface around the human hand.
MIDIGo is a fully functional music-production controller ergonomically designed to be held and played in motion. Eight programmable buttons trigger instruments, or samples, with octave mode expanding the interface to as many as 64 playable sounds. Four function buttons provide recording, playback, undo, and octave selection, while underside potentiometers adjust effects and volume without requiring a change of grip. Through Bluetooth, users can configure mappings, transmit MIDI information, and manage audio through a smartphone. Designed for circularity, MIDIGo can be fully disassembled with a standard screwdriver, allowing individual components to be maintained, repaired, or replaced.
“Music is one of humanity’s oldest forms of communication, yet technology continues to create new ways for us to engage with it,” says Höltgen. “The ability to capture an idea or share a musical moment while moving through everyday life is powerful. I hope MIDIGo can make production more approachable for new users while giving experienced musicians a more immediate way to express ideas.”
All in all, fully functional MIDI controller combines a two-sided ergonomic interface, Bluetooth integration, and repair-focused design, allowing for users to record, develop, and assemble musical ideas without a traditional studio setup, all within your finger tips (literally).
