Zigang x Imperial Workshop: Xuānruìtáng Cultural Bangle

In collaboration with Imperial Workshop, Zigang Jewelry Atelier draws inspiration from the “Xuānruìtáng” imperial plaque to unveil a co-branded cultural bangle, paying homage to the timeless memory of maternal love spanning centuries. The “Xuānruìtáng” plaque, bestowed by Emperor Kangxi to honor his wet nurse, embodies a profound bond transcending blood ties, becoming a cherished Chinese anecdote of maternal devotion. Today, we weave this sentiment into a contemporary adornment, using the traditional Chinese “mother’s flower”—daylily—as a medium, bringing warmth and affection within reach.
The inscription “Xuānruìtáng” is delicately engraved on the bangle’s inner band, each character imbued with meaning: “Xuān” conceals longevity patterns, wishing mothers health and long life; “Ruì” embraces an inverted fu (fortune), symbolizing blessings of happiness; and “Táng” evokes the pillar of a home, representing the enduring legacy of familial love. Crafted in gold, this piece fuses Eastern aesthetics with masterful artisanship, transforming the emotional essence of an imperial plaque into a daily wearable symbol of blessings.
Where the imperial court expressed devotion through plaques, we convey love through cultural creation. This bangle belongs not to museum displays but to the tender moments of countless families—a heartfelt tribute from Zigang and Imperial Workshop to mothers everywhere.
