Supremely functional and compact, the highly anticipated Miura range from Astro, presents a timeless design with neat proportions. Forming part of their Professional range the Miura design is available as a desk lamp, a surface-mounted reading light, and a swing arm wall light, offering a cohesive and contemporary lighting scheme.
Reinvigorating the aesthetic of a classic table light, the Miura Desk USB is a timeless, LED desk light. Intended principally for hotel guest bedrooms, its simplicity and adaptability also make it ideal for domestic projects. It features a custom-molded diffuser for reduced glare and a hard-wearing knuckle joint for easy adjustment. The neatly proportioned shade and body are available in combinations of matt nickel and matt gold, each grounded by a matt black base that features an integral switch and USB port to charge devices directly from the bedside.
The co-ordinating Miura Wall is a LED reading light that adds functional elegance to a room. Inspired by Astro’s popular Mitsu design– a slightly larger variation and similar in shape – Miura wall features a clean and uncomplicated design that mounts seamlessly to the surface. The on/off switch is neatly located on the backplate for added useability and not to detract from the luminaire's graceful aesthetic. A lightly tapered cone shade completes the look and is available in either matt gold, matt nickel, or matt black for a more bespoke feel.
Completing the family is Miura Swing Arm, a distinctive reading light that presents the user with complete control. Slender in form but just as bold in design, it is perfectly proportioned aside a bed, in place of a traditional table lamp. Ensuring installation is hassle-free, a push-fit terminal block allows for easy loop in/out wiring and toolless connection, and a durable, adjustable knuckle joint achieves 330-degree rotation and 90-degree tilt, directing light exactly where it is required. A hidden heat sink and a custom-molded diffuser also reduces glare and emits even illumination, casting a small yet functional pool of light.
