AeroSeal: Deluxe Airless Container

AeroSeal is a premium airless container that minimizes the air content inside, thereby reducing bacterial growth compared to other sealed containers available in the market. It is an easy way to pack perishable items such as nutrients, jams, food, medicines, dried spices, etc. It helps prolong the shelf life of these items, maintain their freshness, and avoid the risk of food safety.

During a casual conversation with her mother, a designer found out that many people choose cheap and large-capacity cosmetics because of their limited budget, and share them with friends and family. However, sharing cosmetics often leads to bacterial growth due to factors like the packaging process and poor container structure. To solve this issue, the designer has created a new product that not only removes air from inside the container but also considers the needs of the public in terms of container design. This versatile container can be used to store various items, such as food, cosmetics, chemicals, nutrients, medicines, dry spices, and more, making it a practical household solution.

 Vacuuming containers has been a challenge for designers. The designer found inspiration from the container structure of syringe and glue stick to solve the problem. After exploring 14 venting designs, they found the most suitable structure for three products. The containers' material and color were chosen based on usage needs. For carrying moisture-sensitive chemicals, the containers were made of chemical-resistant and low-cost engineering plastics for 3D printing. For personal cosmetics susceptible to bacterial growth, skin-friendly, delicate materials with low-color warm tones were the primary choices. This product offers multiple capacity options, easy-to-understand structure, and a reusable design, maximizing functionality and environmental benefits.
