Mo Yun

"Mo Yun," understood in the Chinese context as deep and ink-like shadows of clouds, derives its naming inspiration from the cotton armor widely used among generals and soldiers during the Qing Dynasty. Centuries ago, Manchu warriors clad in such armor braved the harsh cold and snow, eventually establishing a vast empire. The lightness, warmth, and robust stability of this cavalry cotton armor played a significant role, offering a clear advantage over the traditional heavy iron armor in the instantly decisive ancient battlefields. Within this context, the design concept of the Mo Yun down jacket originates from this type of cavalry cotton armor, incorporating military elements and functionality into modern apparel in an innovative way."Mo Yun" employs a dual-layer zipper design: the inner layer is made of nylon, offering lightweight, warmth, and excellent wrinkle resistance; the outer layer uses waterproof down material, enhancing the garment's practicality and weather resistance. In terms of design, the overall tone of the down jacket is primarily black, with white trim applied to the zippers, hem, and cuff edges, creating a sharp visual contrast. The hem features a high-low cut, enhancing ease of movement and adding visual flow. The exaggerated stand collar pays homage to the historical cotton armor’s ear and neck protection, also providing superior warmth and protection for the wearer. When the outer layer is unzipped, the collar naturally drapes backward over the shoulders, symbolizing the majesty of a general.
