The L&MR MECHANICAL NORTHUM watch was inspired by the Industrial Revolution era of the 18th and 19th centuries. It was a landmark event in the life of society and was accompanied by urbanization of the population, rapid economic growth and an increase in the quality of life. The concept of the collection is based on an important event that took place in 1830 – the opening of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway in the UK.

The collection is designed in an industrial style with an added steampunk aesthetic. The hallmarks of the mechanical models are a mechanism Miyota 9029 premium automatic with 24 ruby stones – and its special key Hvilina-winder. The dial design features a window that opens the mechanism element. One of the main features of the models is the design of the case back. The transparent central part surrounded by a stylized gearwheel shows the mechanism operation whereas the balance wheel is engraved with the date of the railroad opening. On the balance wheel of each model is engraved a matching train (Northum from Northumbrian) and the date of the railroad opening.

The case sides are stylized as railways from the front. The winder (Hvilina-winder) is an element which is aimed to diversify the experience of wearing wristwatches and tackle a range of engineering challenges regarding the complex case with its stylized railway rails. The winder design with its branded engraving refers to the aesthetics of the Industrial style.

The hour hands represent the modern interpretation of the European clock design dating back to that period. The highlighted mark at minute 27 is a reference to the fact that the trains at the Liverpool and Manchester Railway traveled at a speed of 27 km/h.

The L&MR MECHANICAL collection is represented by six models different in colors. The case material is stainless steel, with a water resistance of 50 m, and sapphire glass. The strap is made of genuine leather. The striking boxes, where the watches come, immerse one into the aesthetics of the collection at the moment of unwrapping.
