Composite Pillow with Multi-sided Comfort

When sleeping at night, sleeping postures are subject to some changes. This spontaneous behavior increases perceived comfort, promote blood circulation and keep unobstructed breathing, which leads to better sleeping quality. However, traditional pillow inserts may not adapt to sleeping posture needs for fixed shape and only one function. To accommodate with sleeping postures, the designers modify traditional pillow inserts. They developed a zoning adjustable pillow insert that permits appropriate height and shape changes and provides soft and hard support across zones. The insert consists of a double-sided stackable insert and an adjustable spacer, user may add or remove spacer according to their own needs and sleeping habits, in order to adapt to sleeping postures and get the proper support and neck protection. By sleeping habits, stackable pillows are divided into head support, upper pillow side neck support zone, lower pillow side neck support zone, and two-flank side sleeping zone. Two neck support zones provide different levels of soft and hard support, and the stuffing material is adjustable as appropriate to personal needs. The flanks are suitable for sleeping on side with open sandwiching for placing arms. The soft pillow surface can ease the stress on arm. To avoid the displacement of insert and spacer due to sleeping posture changes, the designer uses a snap-fit mechanism to fix the insert shape, so that the insert keeps a proper position from time to time.
