Designed for the cultural and creative product, Shede Spirit — Oriental Wisdom, this packaging design is integrated with the Weiqi (also called Go) culture and the brand connotation of Shede Spirits. The goal set for this design is to reinvigorate traditional Chinese culture in contemporary times, to upgrade the product into a renowned one with profound Chinese cultural connotation, and to further offer modern consumers a refreshing and emotionally interactive experience. Shede Spirits and Weiqi belong to different categories, but through years of development, the two have evolved a highly consistent connotation — making small sacrifices for greater value, which is not only the principle advocated by Shede Spirits, but also the wisdom of the Weiqi game, a gem of Chinese culture.
To clearly state this association on the gift box, the Weiqi culture is harmoniously merged into this packaging design. In terms of modeling and colorway, both the spirits bottles and the complimentary Weiqi stone bowls are styled after black and white Weiqi stones. And they are further arranged crisscross, representing the opposite but unified relationship between abnegation and obtainment. Not only can this aesthetically impressive design approach build a strong emotional connection with users when they savor the spirits, but it also helps deepen their impression of the brand. This gift box also has a Weiqi board in its drawer, allowing users to take a delight in playing Weiqi and gain a glimpse into its spiritual core whilst keeping their taste buds well satisfied.
