Round Case Table

Inspired by the oriental thought “Round Sky and Square Earth”, we think there should be a round object matching the square space before a certain balance of nature could be reached. This is how “Round Case Table” is created. Made from pure natural marble slabs and Burmese teak wood, this table is connected by mortise and tenon without any nail which can extend its service life. The center of the round table is sunken in a way that coordinates with the protruded wooden outer round tabletop, the extent how the center sinks is just right for placing the tea set in it, with the implied meaning of “as the bright moon shines over the sea, from far away you share this moment with me, making it eye-catching, witty and interesting. The tabletop is supported by the floor with plate corners tapering down to the floor, as if user is sharing the good time of tea drinking with others generously. Four square pivots make a surface that prevents the whole table from tipping over.
