MY CHINA! Paraíso dinner service

The manufacture service MY CHINA! Paraíso from SIEGER by FÜRSTENBERG is like a journey to a place you long to visit – a homage to the beauty of the earth, the richness of nature and the diversity of cultures. It tells a story of our big, wide world and a journey across all continents in an individual arrangement of patterns, shapes and colours. The manufacture service is adorned with an imaginative blend of exotic imagery and decorative elements, like a unique collection that has been gradually pieced together over the course of many holidays.

With imaginative designs and lots of colour, the dinner service brings all the world’s continents to the table. To tell tales of distant lands, designer Michael Sieger paired Asian peonies with traditional Mallorcan weave patterns, Portuguese-inspired designs or tropical plants. The eclectic mix of patterns will awaken both a yearning for faraway places and a passion for collecting and arranging.

The collection comprises 35 pieces. The plates, bowls, cups and accessories are handcrafted and decorated with exquisite precision by Porzellanmanufaktur FÜRSTENBERG. Exceptionally versatile, they have wafer-thin walls with a thickness of around just two-and-a-half millimetres. Like other decors for the MY CHINA! service, Paraíso is dishwasher-safe and highly functional.

Working with great delicacy of touch and meticulous attention to detail, Michael Sieger has designed a decor that will offer up fresh surprises each and every day. Designed as standalone pieces, the porcelain plates, cups and bowls can be combined in constantly new ways. The result is a cosmos of buoyant lightness and joie de vivre.

Every single cup, plate, and accessory is one of a kind. Individually crafting these unique objects involves many different stages – requiring up to 100 hands and six weeks of work.
